While talking to the Jeevika sisters, the Chief Minister said that many congratulations to all of you. All of you Jeevika sisters are doing very good work. In 2006, we took a loan from the World Bank and started increasing the number of self-help groups, as a result of which today 1 crore 31 lakh women in Bihar are doing very good work as Jeevika Didi by joining self-help groups. We have now started forming self-help groups in urban areas as well. So far, more than 26 thousand self-help groups have been formed in urban areas, with more than 3 lakh women joining them. Wherever we go, we definitely meet Jeevika Didi. After talking to them, whatever problems or needs there are, they are fulfilled by the government. During this time, officials are also present with us. The number of self-help groups is continuously increasing in Bihar. Wherever Jeevika Didi goes, they get a lot of respect. Not only has the prestige of women increased in the society, but they have also started getting respect in the family. We named the women associated with self-help groups as Jeevika. Inspired by this, the then central government named it Aajeevika. Do not forget this. Jeevika sisters sang a welcome song on the arrival of the Chief Minister. School girls expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the schemes being run for the upliftment of girls and to encourage girls towards education. The Chief Minister inaugurated the Jeevika Bhawan in Gram Panchayat Maheshkhunt by cutting the ribbon.
After this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the construction of a high-level RCC bridge at Garh Ghat on the Bagmati River in Alauli block.
