CM Nitish Kumar Inspects Patna Airport Expansion, Urges Quick Completion

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today conducted an inspection of the ongoing expansion work at Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport in Patna, emphasizing the need for swift completion to enhance passenger facilities and ensure smooth operations. During his visit, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the construction and provided crucial directives to the officials.

In a detailed review meeting held at the airport, officials presented the master plan for the airport's expansion, outlining the key components and timelines. The Chief Minister, after being briefed on the expansion efforts, stressed the importance of completing the work promptly to facilitate the smooth movement of airplanes and improve the overall passenger experience.

"Ensure that the expansion work at Patna airport is completed soon to guarantee efficient operations. The state government will provide any necessary support to expedite this process," said CM Nitish Kumar. He also highlighted the need for better water drainage systems within the airport premises and improved connectivity to reduce travel time for passengers.





The Chief Minister was accompanied by several high-ranking officials, including Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, Water Resources cum Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, and Urban Development and Housing Minister Nitin Naveen. Key administrative figures such as Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. S. Siddharth, and District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh were also present during the inspection.

The inspection comes as part of the government's ongoing efforts to upgrade infrastructure in Bihar and enhance the state's connectivity. The expansion of Patna's airport is a significant component of these efforts, aiming to accommodate the growing passenger traffic and improve the region's accessibility.

The Chief Minister’s visit underscores the state government's commitment to ensuring that the airport's expansion is completed efficiently, with a focus on providing better facilities and reducing congestion. The officials have been directed to address any remaining challenges swiftly, with an assurance of full support from the state government.
