CM Nitish Kumar Inspects Muzaffarpur Bypass Construction, Directs Officials to Expedite Work

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today inspected the ongoing construction of the Muzaffarpur bypass on NH-77. He directed officials to expedite the work and complete the remaining construction by November.

During his inspection, CM Kumar reviewed the progress of the project and expressed satisfaction with the work done so far. He emphasized the importance of completing the project on time, saying it would greatly benefit the people of Muzaffarpur and reduce traffic congestion.

The CM also inaugurated a new police station building at Sakri-Saraiya and laid the foundation stone for six other police buildings. He also launched a grid-connected rooftop solar power plant at various police stations in Muzaffarpur district.

Later, CM Kumar distributed checks to beneficiaries of various schemes and handed over tricycles to differently-abled persons. He also inaugurated stalls set up by various departments and interacted with the beneficiaries of different schemes.

The event was attended by several senior officials, including Panchayati Raj Minister Kedar Prasad Gupta, Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar, and Principal Secretary to the CM, Dr. S. Siddharth.

Muzaffarpur Bypass Project

The Muzaffarpur bypass project is a crucial infrastructure development project aimed at reducing traffic congestion in the city. The project involves the construction of a four-lane bypass on NH-77, which will connect Muzaffarpur to Hajipur.

The project was approved in 2010, but work began in 2012 due to delays in land acquisition and other issues. The project is expected to be completed by November this year.
