CM Nitish Kumar Inspects Flood Preparedness in Patna, Issues Directions_

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today inspected the flood preparedness measures in Patna and surrounding areas. He visited the drainage pumping station at Pahari and the temporary drainage pumping station at Varmauta in Patna City.

During the inspection, the CM Nitish Kumar directed officials to ensure that the drainage pumping stations are fully functional to prevent waterlogging during heavy rainfall. He also instructed them to make necessary arrangements for immediate drainage in affected areas to prevent inconvenience to citizens.

The Principal Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department briefed the CM Nitish Kumar on the measures taken to tackle flood-like situations in Patna and surrounding areas. He informed that the drainage pumping stations are being used to drain out water from urban areas.

The CM Nitish Kumar was accompanied by his Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department Anand Kishor, Patna Divisional Commissioner Kumar Ravi, CM's Special Officer Gopal Singh, District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Municipal Commissioner Animesh Parasara, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajiv Mishra, and other senior officials.
