CM Nitish Kumar Inaugurates ₹937 Crore Development Projects in Samastipur
Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today gave a gift of more than Rs 937 crore to Samastipur district in the course of Pragati Yatra. During this, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 198 developmental schemes through remote. This includes the inauguration of 51 schemes worth Rs 500.82 crore and the foundation stone laying of 147 schemes worth Rs 436.64 crore. In the course of Pragati Yatra, the Chief Minister inaugurated the 100-bed Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Government Welfare Hostel in Raipur village of Ujiarpur block of Samastipur district by unveiling the stone plaque. The Chief Minister also inspected the newly constructed hostel building. During this, he took stock of the canteen, kitchen etc. During the inspection, the Chief Minister said that the hostel has been built very well. Keep running all the arrangements here in a better manner so that the students do not face any kind of problem. After this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the building of Emergency Response Facility cum Training Center by cutting the ribbon and unveiling the stone plaque. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the newly constructed building of the Emergency Response Facility cum Training Center and took detailed information from the officials about the arrangements and working system there.
The Chief Minister said that the inauguration of the Emergency Response Facility cum Training Center here will provide a lot of convenience to the people in emergency situations and training will also be given here. The Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various developmental schemes of Samastipur district through remote from the building premises of the Emergency Response Facility cum Training Center itself. The Chief Minister said that when we were ministers in the Central Government, we saw the work of self-help groups at many places outside but at that time there was nothing like this in Bihar. When I got a chance to work in Bihar, in the year 2006, we took a loan from the World Bank and formed a self-help group and named it 'Jeevika'. We named the women who joined it as 'Jeevika Didi'. The central government of that time appreciated its work and started it in the whole country under the name of Ajeevika. Jeevika didis have gained a lot of confidence and there has been a lot of change in their speech, lifestyle and living style. Now the number of Jeevika self-help groups in Bihar has increased to 10 lakh 61 thousand, with 1 crore 31 lakh Jeevika didis associated with them. Now the formation of self-help groups has been started in urban areas of Bihar as well. So far, 26 thousand Jeevika self-help groups have been formed in cities, with which 3 lakh Jeevika didis have joined. During this, Jeevika didis also expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister and said that we are getting a lot of benefit from the formation of self-help groups, all this is your contribution. You have done a lot for our livelihood. We will always be grateful to you for this. During the stall inspection, the Chief Minister gave symbolic cheques of Rs 4 crore 34 lakh to 217 beneficiaries of the Chief Minister's Entrepreneur Scheme and Rs 3 crore 31 lakh to 331 beneficiaries of the Bihar Laghu Udyam Yojana.
After this, the Chief Minister inspected the site of beautification and renovation work proposed by the Tourism Department of Muktapur Moin located in Kalyanpur block of Samastipur district. During the inspection, the officials informed the Chief Minister about Muktapur Moin and said that it is spread over an area of about 50 acres, which is connected to the Budhi Gandak river. During this, while giving instructions to the officials, the Chief Minister said that a smooth path should be constructed for movement on both sides of Muktapur Moin. Increase the depth of its bottom so that maximum water is conserved. Construction of a path on both sides of Muktapur Moin will facilitate people in movement and it will also look very good. Also ensure adequate lighting arrangements around it. After reaching Muktapur Railway Gumti, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone through remote for the construction of ROB at LC No. 02 between Muktapur-Kishanpur section under Darbhanga-Samastipur rail section of National Highway No. 322 at a cost of Rs 99.23 crore and the construction of ROB at a cost of Rs 11951.90 lakh on the basis of cost sharing in lieu of level crossing number 63A situated between Samastipur-Pusa Path and Samastipur-Karpoori Gram stations. After the foundation stone laying, the Chief Minister inspected the Muktapur Railway Gumti and gave many necessary instructions to the officials.
After this, the Chief Minister inspected the pond beautified under Jal-Jeevan Hariyali Abhiyan in village Sheikhopur of Warisnagar block. During the inspection, the Chief Minister said that this pond has been beautified very well. The view here looks very good due to the construction of stairs all around it. Since 2019, under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan, we are beautifying and renovating all the public wells, ponds and ponds across Bihar. The Chief Minister also planted a sapling near the pond and released fish seeds and ducks in the pond. The Chief Minister visited Ward No. 3 of Village Sheikhopur and inspected the developmental works done by various departments. The Chief Minister inspected the site in relation to the construction work of the proposed new high level RCC bridge at a cost of Rs 45 crore in place of the old screw pile bridge parallel to the Magardadi Ghat bridge under Samastipur district. The officials gave detailed information to the Chief Minister regarding the proposed parallel bridge of Magarvahi Ghat bridge located on the Budhi Gandak river. The Chief Minister said that this work should be started as soon as possible and the parallel bridge should be constructed as soon as possible.
