CM Nitish Kumar Inaugurates ₹7,166 Crore Water Supply Projects Under ‘Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal’

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of water supply schemes / building structures worth Rs 7,166 crore 6 lakh under the 'Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal' scheme through remote at 'Sankalp' located at 1, Anne Marg. During this, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of the headquarters building of the Public Health Engineering Department costing Rs 83 crore.

In the program, Principal Secretary of the Public Health Engineering Department, Shri Pankaj Kumar said that regular and uninterrupted water supply is being ensured to the people of the state. In accordance with the national standards of drinking water quality, the state government is supplying water to all rural families at the rate of 70 liters per person per day, which is 16 liters more than the national average. All the water supply schemes constructed under the 'Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal' scheme are being operated and maintained by the Public Health Engineering Department. Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar's 'Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal' scheme is being praised all over the country.

During the program, the Chief Minister said that the schemes whose foundation stone has been laid today should be completed on time. Keep implementing the 'Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal' scheme in a better way. All things should be maintained. Our aim is that people should get pure drinking water regularly, there should be no problem in this.

In the program, the Chief Minister was welcomed by the Principal Secretary of the Public Health Engineering Department, Mr. Pankaj Kumar, by presenting a green plant and a symbol.

During the program, a short film based on the schemes of the Public Health Engineering Department was presented.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Kumar Sinha, Public Health Engineering Minister Mr. Neeraj Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Mr. Amrit Lal Meena, Development Commissioner Mr. Pratyay Amrit, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. S. Siddharth, Principal Secretary of Public Health Engineering Department Mr. Pankaj Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Anupam Kumar, Special Officer to the Chief Minister Mr. Gopal Singh, Special Secretary of Public Health Engineering Department Mr. Sanjeev Kumar and other senior officers were present in the program, while District Magistrates of the districts and officers of the Public Health Engineering Department were connected through video conferencing.
