Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Inaugurates Travel and Tourism Fair 2024 in Bihar
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today on Tuesday inaugurated the Travel and Tourism Fair-2024 organized by the Tourism Department at Gyan Bhawan located at Samrat Ashok Convention Centre. The Chief Minister inaugurated the fair by cutting the ribbon and inspected various exhibitions and taking information about the related products and services. Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj, Bihar Tourism Minister Nitish Mishra and other key officials were present on this occasion.
Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, while addressing the inaugural session, said that Bihar has the full potential to become the tourism capital of the country. Bihar's historical, religious and cultural heritage can make it a leader in the field of tourism in the country. He informed me that the Central Government has made special plans for the development of Gaya, Bodh Gaya, Rajgir and Nalanda.
He also informed that the Central Government is creating employment opportunities through schemes like Paryatan Mitra and Paryatan Didi. India's tourism industry can reach $ 500 billion in the coming five years.
Bihar Tourism Minister Nitish Mishra said that the state government is constantly enriching the tourism sector. Under the visionary thinking of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, places like Nalanda, Gaya, Bodh Gaya and Rajgir are being developed. Along with this, rural tourist places are also being developed through schemes like Mera Block and Mera Gaurav.
Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj also praised the historical and cultural heritage of Bihar and said that Bihar has been a centre of self-realization and visiting here is a medium to increase knowledge.
Welcoming the guests at this event, Tourism Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh said that the Travel and Tourism Fair will prove to be an effective medium to take the tourism industry of the state to new heights. On this occasion, representatives of many states, organizations related to the tourism industry and companies were present, who will participate in the fair for the next two days.
