The central government has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the West Bengal government regarding the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital case. In the petition, the centre has accused the Mamata government that CSIF jawans have been deployed to protect the hospital, but they are not getting enough space to live, especially women jawans. Due to this, the jawans deployed in the security are facing problems in performing their duties.
The central government has also alleged that the West Bengal government is disobeying the court orders and is not cooperating with CISF, which is a serious issue. The central government has said that this disregard is not only a disregard of the court's orders but is also against constitutional and moral principles. The Centre has demanded the court give instructions to the West Bengal government or initiate contempt proceedings against the officials who disobeyed the court's orders.
