Celebrating the Success of Bihar's 'Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali' Campaign: A Path to Sustainable Development
Inspired by the vision and farsightedness of the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri Nitish Kumar Ji, a special event was organized to make the 'Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali' campaign a success as a comprehensive public awareness program. On this occasion, Hon'ble Minister of Information and Public Relations Department, Shri Maheshwar Hazari underlined the importance of this campaign and said that this campaign is being appreciated not only across India but also globally.
This program was organized at the Information Bhawan in Patna, in which nodal officers of various departments participated. Minister Shri Hazari said, “'Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali' campaign is an important initiative for humanity, which includes measures to conserve water, plant trees and promote solar energy. The state government is renovating ponds, ponds, ahars, and other water-harvesting structures by removing encroachments. Along with this, new water sources are also being created along with the construction of check-dams and water-harvesting structures.”
Addressing the program, Director of Information and Public Relations Department Vaibhav Srivastava said that this campaign has improved the groundwater level in the state and increased the green cover through tree plantation. He said, "The department has succeeded in making this campaign a popular program among the general public through various publicity mediums." Also, he assured that the department will ensure wide publicity of this campaign through all its means.
The Mission Director of the campaign Pratibha Rani talked about the effective implementation of the campaign to realize the dreams of the Chief Minister and appreciated the cooperation of various departments in this direction. In the technical session of the program, officials of other departments also shared their successes and experiences in the campaign.
On this occasion, Deputy Secretary Shiv Shankar Lal Srivastava introduced the topic, while the vote of thanks was given by Special Officer Kumaril Satyanand. The program was conducted by Deputy Director Dr. Sunil Kumar Pathak. At the end of the function, tree plantation was also done in the Information Bhawan campus, in which all the officials participated enthusiastically.
