CBI Arrests Former Principal of RG Kar Medical College Sandeep Ghosh in Corruption Case Linked to Rape and Murder Investigation
Sandeep Ghosh Detained Following Questioning; Shantanu Rai Claims Vindication in Ongoing Probe
The CBI has arrested Sandeep Ghosh, the former Principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital this evening. The CBI Crime Branch had called the former Principal for questioning in the rape and murder case of a female trainee doctor at RG Kar Hospital and after the questioning, the CBI arrested him.
Ghosh was being questioned on Monday at the CBI office located at Salt Lake CGO Complex. After this, the CBI's Anti Corruption Wing came to the CGO Complex and took him out of the Crime Branch office. The Anti Corruption Branch of the CBI was investigating the RG Kar Hospital financial corruption case. After this, the CBI arrested Ghosh.
According to the information, the CBI has arrested the former Principal of RG Kar Medical College Sandeep Ghosh in the financial corruption case. Sandeep has been arrested by the Anti Corruption Branch of the CBI.
The former principal has been questioned for more than two weeks. Last month, a 31-year-old trainee female doctor was raped and murdered at RG Kar Hospital. The police have already arrested Sanjay Roy on charges of this rape and murder incident and he is currently in jail.
After the arrest of Sandip Ghosh, Shantanu Rai tweeted in which he wrote that God has done justice, this is the proof that I did not say anything wrong. I had given information about corruption to the right place long ago.
