Buddha Samyak Darshan Museum Cum Smriti Stupa in Vaishali Nears Completion

Secretary of Building Construction Department, Bihar, Mr. Kumar Ravi, today on Monday, inspected the site of the works of the Buddha Samyak Darshan Museum cum Smriti Stupa under construction in Vaishali. During the inspection, the Secretary reviewed in detail the works going on in the stupa complex and gave necessary instructions regarding this.

During the campus visit, the Secretary directed to get small works done at many places in the Buddha Samyak Darshan Museum cum Smriti Stupa complex, so that the complex can look more beautiful and charming. The construction work of the Buddha Stupa is in its final stage. Out of the last 08 (key-stone) stones to be installed in the stupa, 02 stones have been installed. The work of installing the remaining key stones will be completed in the next two-three days. He directed the agency to start the cleaning and finishing work as soon as possible. The agency told the Secretary that finishing work is also going on along with the work. The work will be completed by January 2025 next year. The construction of the structure required to keep the statue and memorials of Lord Buddha is in the final stage.

After this, the entire campus was visited by the Secretary. He directed to get some necessary construction done in other water structures on the banks of the pond to enhance the beauty of the campus. Also, the campus was directed to connect with the Mud Stupa. He told that after the completion of the Buddha Samyak Darshan Museum cum Memorial Stupa, a new center of tourism will develop in Vaishali.

The Buddha Samyak Darshan Museum cum Memorial Stupa is spread over about 72.94 acres. The stupa, museum block, visitor center building, library building and meditation center building, guest house and amp theatre and service area are to be constructed in the campus, out of which the construction of museum and orientation gallery, visitor center, library building and meditation center and guest house has been completed.

The Buddha Samyak Darshan Museum-cum-Memorial Stupa is being built to keep the memorials of Lord Buddha. The stupa is being constructed in about 4309 square meters of the campus. It is being constructed from pink sandstone brought from Rajasthan. A huge hall has been constructed on the ground floor of the stupa for 2000 devotees to sit and meditate. The stupa also has ramps and archways.

After the construction of Buddha Samyak Darshan Museum -cum- Smriti Stupa in Vaishali, tourists from the country and abroad will reach here and this place will become a center of attraction for Buddhists, history lovers and tourists. This place will not only be important from religious and cultural point of view but will also prove to be a milestone in the field of tourism development in Bihar. Along with this, employment opportunities will also increase.
