Bihar: RLJP will contest all 243 seats in the upcoming Assembly Election
Former Union minister Pashupati Kumar Paras said that his Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party was treated unfairly during the Lok Sabha elections, but he remained with the NDA. Pashupati Paras was addressing reporters after a meeting of RLJP.
He said, “We got a raw deal in the Lok Sabha elections, but we gave our loyalty. We hope that BJP president JP Nadda will understand this and give us due importance in the Bihar assembly elections to be held next year.”
Paras said that RLJP would like to contest on behalf of NDA from one of the 4 assembly seats where by-elections are to be held. These seats have fallen vacant after the MLAs became MPs.
According to PTI, Pashupati Paras also proposed RLJP national vice-president Narendra Kumar Pandey alias Sunil as a "candidate" for the Tarari seat, which has fallen vacant due to the resignation of CPI (ML) MLA Sudama Prasad. Paras said that Narendra Kumar Pandey will give a tough fight. He fought a great election as an independent in 2020. BJP should think about this.
