Bihar Revenue Department Launches Street Plays to Raise Awareness on Land Surveys
The Revenue and Land Reforms Department has decided to resort to street plays to increase public awareness about land survey. The street play prepared on land survey was presented today at the Survey Training Institute in Shastri Nagar. In this 45-minute street play, an attempt has been made to explain the complex subject related to land survey in simple colloquial language.
The play was collectively watched by the officers and personnel of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department today. Many advices and suggestions were given which will be included in the script. Secretary of the Department, Mr. Jai Singh and Director of Land Records and Measurement, Mr. Kamlesh Kumar Singh were also present on this occasion.
Secretary Mr. Jai Singh said that even now the peasants have difficulty in understanding the technical issues related to land. There is a lack of correct information about Kistwar, Khanapuri, Sunwai, Kaithi script, land records portal. Through street plays, these nuances can be easily explained to the people of the villages. This will increase their interest in the survey work, which will facilitate the survey personnel to complete their work on time.
Mr. Singh said that apart from this, the department is working towards making people aware in many other ways. Advertisements are being given regularly in newspapers. Information about the survey is being given on radio and other digital platforms. Information is being given continuously on the social media platform of the department. For the success of the survey, it is necessary that people have all the information related to it.
The play will be organized simultaneously in all 534 zones of Bihar next month. In each zone, a drama troupe has to give a presentation for 2 days. A troupe will stage a street play at 2 places every day. In this way, this street play will be performed at 4 places in a zone. About 4 dozen drama troupes will participate in this event which will run for a month. There will be 10 artists in each troupe.
The name of this street play is - Chali Sarkar Janta Ke Dwar, Aapki Jamin Aapke Naam. In the play, an attempt has been made to explain the technical aspects of the survey through the Mukhiya and Revenue Officer. In between, music and songs have been used. The beginning has been made by playing the Hudka musical instrument. After this, the main subject matter has been discussed by singing Jogira and invitation songs.
