Bihar government's special order for transfer of 1,90,000 teachers: Education department started the process

The Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government has issued an important order for the Education Department to transfer teachers in special circumstances. According to this order, applications have been received for the transfer of about 1,90,000 teachers in Bihar, including teachers of various categories. The government has decided to execute these applications in a phased manner.

According to the departmental order, in the first phase, applications for transfer will be considered on the basis of incurable disease (such as cancer) and serious illness (kidney, heart, liver disease). After this, the transfer will be decided on the basis of other categories like disability, widow/abandoned and posting of spouse.

Under this process, all the representations will be assigned to the concerned officials for scrutiny in a category-wise and phased manner. The officials have been instructed that they will not use any external assistance in this work and will do the scrutiny only based on the documents received.

To make the transfer process transparent, all orders and updates will be available on the e-Shikshakosh portal, and teachers will be able to download their transfer orders simply through their login ID and password.

The order is part of the Bihar government's efforts to streamline the transfer of teachers working under special circumstances in the state's education sector.
