Bihar Government's new announcements: A new direction for development in Darbhanga under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar

The Bihar government, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has made several important announcements for the overall development of Darbhanga district. These schemes will provide better civic services, better traffic facilities, and the development of cultural heritage to the citizens of the district, ensuring the overall development of the region.

The announcements are as follows:

Development of inter-state bus stand

The bus stand at Delhi More will be developed as an inter-state bus stand. This will facilitate the movement of passengers to Darbhanga Airport and the proposed AIIMS at Shobhan.

Beautification of ponds

Gangasagar, Hardahi, and Digdhi ponds will be beautified and developed integratedly. This will provide the benefit of entertainment and water conservation to the citizens.

Construction of Donar Chowk ROB

The work of construction of the Railway Overbridge (ROB) near Donar Chowk will be started soon. This will ease traffic.

Construction of elevated road

Elevated road connectivity will be provided from Darbhanga-Amsa Highway to DMCH. This will enable people going to DMCH to avoid city traffic jams.

Road widening and elevated road construction

The road will be widened from Ekmi Chowk to the station and an elevated road will be constructed as per requirement, which will solve the traffic problem.

Development of Shobhan bypass in 4 lanes

The Shobhan bypass will be developed into a 4-lane road for the convenience of commuting to AIIMS.

Development of Baba Kusheshwarsthan

Baba Kusheshwarsthan will be beautified and developed as a tourist destination for the convenience of devotees.

Modernization of Mithila Research Institute

The Mithila Research Institute will be preserved and modernized to promote Mithila culture and language.

Construction of bypass from Asma Bridge

A bypass will be constructed from Asma Bridge to SH-56 to eliminate the problem of traffic jam in Kusheshwarsthan.
