The Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department, Bihar has taken an important step to provide safe and convenient residential facilities to the girls of the backward class and extremely backward class community of the state and to complete their education without any hindrance.

The Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department, Bihar has written a letter to the Building Construction Department, Bihar and requested to send an estimate for the construction of one Jananayak Karpuri Thakur Girls Hostel with 100 seats each in each division in the first phase, i.e. total-9. It is proposed to construct one Jananayak Karpuri Thakur Girls Hostel with 100 seats each in each district for the girl students of backward class and extremely backward class.

At present, the department is running Jananayak Karpuri Thakur hostels in 36 districts and 23 Other Backward Classes Welfare Hostels in total-20 districts of the state for the students.

Girls belonging to poor and remote rural environment come to the city for higher education but they have to face a lot of difficulty in finding safe and convenient accommodation there. Good housing also costs a lot, which poor girl students are unable to afford. To overcome this problem, the Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department, Bihar has proposed the construction of Jananayak Karpuri Thakur Girls Hostel.

The establishment of Jananayak Karpuri Thakur Girls Hostels is an important step towards promoting girl education. With safe and convenient accommodation available to girls, they will be able to focus on their education. This initiative will bring a positive change in the education system for girls from backward communities in Bihar. These girls will be empowered through education, so that they can contribute to the society and realize their dreams.

The government believes that providing educational opportunities to girls is necessary for their empowerment and development of society. The establishment of these hostels will definitely brighten the future of girls from these communities and they will make an important contribution to the development of Bihar.
