Bihar Government Officials Visit Glasgow Science Centre

Patna: A delegation of Bihar government officials visited the Glasgow Science Centre in Scotland today as part of their London tour.

The visit was made with the aim of giving the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Science Centre, which is currently under construction in Patna, a world-class look. The centre is being built in line with the vision of Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar.

The state government officials made a thorough study of the Glasgow Science Centre, which is the largest city in Scotland. The science centre is located in the Pacific area and is made up of three main buildings. The Glasgow Science Centre is a popular tourist destination located in the Clyde Waterfront Regeneration Area on the south bank of the River Clyde in Glasgow, Scotland. It was opened to the public on July 5, 2001 by Queen Elizabeth II.

The delegation was led by Shri Deepak Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Science and Technology Department, Government of Bihar. Other members of the delegation included Shri Sanjay Kumar, Director, Science and Technology Department, and Shri Arvind Kumar, Director, Bihar Council of Science and Technology.

The delegation was impressed by the Glasgow Science Centre's exhibits and educational programs. They also appreciated the centre's focus on science communication and public engagement.

The delegation is expected to submit a report to the Bihar government on their visit to the Glasgow Science Centre. The report will contain recommendations on how to make the Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Science Centre a world-class facility.
