Bihar Government Launches Ambitious School Monitoring Plan to Improve Education Quality

In a significant move to enhance the quality of education in government schools, the Bihar government has launched a comprehensive school monitoring plan. The initiative, announced by Dr. S. Siddharth, Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, aims to ensure that all government schools in the state are running as per prescribed standards.

Under the plan, over 8,000 officials and employees will be responsible for monitoring around 10-15 schools each, focusing on aspects such as:

- Infrastructure, including classrooms, toilets, and drinking water facilities

- Academic activities, including teacher attendance and student enrollment

- Extracurricular activities, including sports and library facilities

- Mid-day meal schemes and their implementation

The monitoring team will also ensure that schools are providing quality education and addressing the needs of students. The plan is part of the government's efforts to strengthen the education system in Bihar and provide quality education to all students.

To ensure effective monitoring, the government has introduced an online portal, e-Shikshakosh, where monitoring reports will be uploaded. The portal will help track the progress of schools and identify areas that require improvement.

District officials have been instructed to review the monitoring reports regularly and take necessary action to address any deficiencies found during the monitoring process. The government has also warned that departmental action will be taken against officials who fail to comply with the monitoring plan.

The school monitoring plan is a significant step towards improving the education sector in Bihar, which has been facing challenges in recent years. The government's efforts to strengthen the education system are expected to benefit millions of students across the state.

In addition to the monitoring plan, the government has also announced plans to upgrade school infrastructure, including the construction of new classrooms and toilets. The government has also launched initiatives to improve teacher training and student enrollment.

With this ambitious plan, the Bihar government aims to revolutionize the education sector and provide a better future for its students.
