Action will be taken against the contractor if quality is found to be lacking
The state government plans to keep the rural roads in excellent condition like national highways (NH) and highways. To implement the scheme effectively, 650 packages have been prepared, in which contracts will be given in categories ranging from Rs 10 crore to Rs 50 crore. The maximum limit of any package has been fixed at Rs 50 crore, so that transparency and quality can be ensured in the execution of the work. Not only this, the contractors have been given the responsibility of ensuring the quality of the roads. If the quality of any road is found to be lacking, the monthly payment of the contractors will be cut.
Special emphasis on quality and timeliness
The scheme is being reviewed continuously at the level of Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena, in which the quality of roads and timely completion of work has been given special priority. The government intends to complete the tender process by the beginning of April 2025. Efforts are being made to complete the initial repair work of all the roads by June 15. After this, work will be done to strengthen the road surface during the financial year 2025-26.
Villagers can complain about bad roads through the app
The government is using modern technology in this project. All roads will be linked to geo tags. This will make it possible to monitor their condition online. If potholes are formed on any road or there is negligence in repair work, local people can also complain through the "Hamara Bihar Hamari Sadak" mobile app.
Environment will also be taken care of
Environment will also be taken care of during construction and maintenance of roads. Waste or garbage plastic will be used in construction. This will enable reuse of plastic waste and will also increase the strength of roads.
Roads inside villages will also be improved
To further improve connectivity within villages, roads will also be constructed under the Additional Sulabh Sampark Yojana and Tola Sampark Yojana. This scheme will give new impetus to the rural economy and will help in further strengthening the infrastructure of the state.
Employment and development will be boosted
This project will ease traffic in rural areas, which will help farmers to easily transport their products to the market. Apart from this, new employment opportunities will also be available. This initiative of the state government will not only improve transport facilities but will also strengthen rural development
