Bihar Government Emphasizes Harmony and Peace During Festivals

Patna: In a bid to maintain law and order during the upcoming festivals of Holi and Ramadan, the Bihar government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring harmony and peace across the state.
A high-level meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena, was held to review the preparations for the General Assembly Election 2025 and the law and order situation during the festivals.
The meeting was attended by top officials, including Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, Secretary Pranav Kumar, Special Secretary K.S. Anupam, Director General of Police Vinay Kumar, and District Magistrates and Superintendents of Police from across the state.
During the meeting, the officials discussed various measures to ensure peaceful celebrations, including tightening security arrangements, banning obscene and inflammatory content, monitoring social media, and organizing peace committee meetings.
Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena emphasized the importance of maintaining harmony and peace during the festivals. "It is essential that we work together to ensure that the festivals are celebrated in a peaceful and secure environment," he said.
The officials also discussed the need to maintain special vigilance at religious sites during the festivals. "We will ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place to prevent any untoward incidents," said Director General of Police Vinay Kumar.
