Bihar Government Cancels CHO Recruitment Exam; Evidence of Irregularities Found
The Bihar government has canceled a major recruitment exam. The government issued a notice saying that the online examination taken and to be taken for selection to the contractual posts of Community Health Officer (CHO) is canceled. In this recruitment exam, the government found evidence of irregularities in the investigation. The Bihar government wants to recruit 4500 CHO posts through this recruitment campaign. For this, recruitment is to be done through an online CBT test examination.
Under the National Health Mission, 4500 posts were to be recruited for this recruitment, for which the application process started on 1 November 2024 and time was given till 21 November 2024 to apply. The application process for this recruitment was going on in online mode.
The Bihar government informed, "The online computer-based test and CBT to be held on 01.12. 2024 and the online CBT to be held on 02.12.2024 for selection/employment on the contractual posts of Community Health Officer (CHO) under Advertisement No. 07/2024 of State Health Committee, Bihar are cancelled. Information regarding the next date of examination will be published."
Evidence of irregularities was found at some online centres. For this reason, it has been decided to cancel the examination for the reinstatement of CHO on 4500 posts.
