Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Spearheads Minority Welfare Progress: A Decade of Growth and Commitment

Today, the press conference organized by the Minority Welfare Department in the "Media Room" of Suchna Bhawan, Patna was addressed by the Hon'ble Minister, Minority Welfare Department, Bihar, Md. Zama Khan. Many important information related to the development and welfare of the minority community was shared in this press conference.

During the press conference, the Hon'ble Minister informed that the Minority Welfare Department in Bihar was independently established in the year 1991, to ensure the development of minority communities and protection of their rights. He informed that in the financial year 2013-14, District Minority Welfare Offices were established in all 38 districts, which accelerated the effective implementation of the schemes.

Additionally, the Minister informed that in the financial year 2021-22, Block Minority Welfare Officers have been posted in 75 minority-dominated blocks, while in the remaining blocks, action in this regard is in process. He said that in the financial year 2022-23, 47 lower division clerks have been appointed at the district and block level, so that speed and effective management of office work can be ensured.

Along with this, a total of 481 posts have been created for teaching and housing of students in the schools constructed under the Bihar State Minority Residential School Scheme. The appointment of these posts is expected to improve the educational quality and administrative system in these schools.

Secretary of Minority Welfare Department Md. Sohail, Additional Secretary-cum-Director Dr. Amir Afaq Ahmed Faizi, Additional Secretary Ahmed Mahmud, Managing Director Diwat Jafar Hussain Khan, Chief Executive Officer Khurshid Ahmed Siddiqui, Joint Secretary Ibrar Ahmed Khan and other departmental officers were present in the press conference.

Hon'ble Minister Md. Zama Khan finally said that the state government is committed to the development of minorities and that the benefits of these schemes will be properly delivered to all the needy. He assured that all the schemes of the department will be implemented with transparency so that the minority community can fully avail their rights and facilities.

Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar, Bihar is witnessing unprecedented growth and development, with various initiatives and schemes being implemented across the state. This rapid progress is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of citizens, including the minority community, and will further accelerate the implementation of welfare schemes and development programs. With the Chief Minister's supervision, Bihar is indeed growing at a very fast pace, and the Minority Welfare Department's efforts are a testament to this growth.
