Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Launches 38 Highway Patrol Vehicles to Enhance Road Safety

Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar inaugurated 38 highway patrol vehicles from 01 Anne Marg today to strengthen road safety and an uninterrupted traffic system. On this occasion, the Chief Minister flagged off the vehicles. Before inaugurating them, the Chief Minister inspected them and sought information from the officials regarding their functioning.

It is worth noting that these National Highway Patrol vehicles have been linked to Dial-112 of the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) so that in case of emergency, they can be sent to the spot immediately. Also, for effective action, provision has been made for a centralized solution from the vehicle or control room through the equipment installed on it.

At the beginning of the program, Director General of Police Shri Alok Raj welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting a green plant.

On this occasion, Water Resources Minister Mr. Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Deepak Kumar, Development Commissioner Mr. Pratyaya Amrit, Director General of Police Mr. Alok Raj, Principal Secretary of Home Department Mr. Arvind Kumar Choudhary, Secretary of Transport Department Mr. Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Anupam Kumar, Additional Director General of Police, Special Branch Mr. Sunil Kumar, Additional Director General of Police, Traffic Mr. Sudhanshu Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Kumar Ravi, Special Officer to the Chief Minister Mr. Gopal Singh, Secretary of Home Department Mr. Pranav Kumar, State Transport Commissioner Mr. Naveen Kumar and other senior officials were present.
