Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Inspects New Patna Collectorate: Pushes for Swift Completion and Green Features
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today conducted a thorough inspection of the ongoing construction work of the new Collectorate building complex in Patna district. Accompanied by top officials, including Building Construction Minister Jayant Raj and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, the Chief Minister was briefed on the progress of the project by Secretary Kumar Ravi.
The new Collectorate building, designed to be earthquake-proof and environmentally friendly, will house all district administration offices under one roof, enhancing convenience for citizens. The complex will feature separate entrances for each department, five floors, and ample parking facilities. Security standards are also being rigorously followed.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister directed officials to expedite the construction work, emphasizing the need for swift completion. He suggested installing solar panels on the roof to further enhance the building's eco-friendly features. The complex's strategic location, with the Ganga river to the north and Gandhi Maidan to the south, will add to its aesthetic appeal.
The inspection was attended by various senior officials, including MPs, Principal Secretaries, and District Magistrates, underscoring the importance of this infrastructure project for Patna's development.
