Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Inspects Development Projects in Bakhtiyarpur

Chief Minister Mr. Nitish Kumar today inspected the schemes being run at various places in Bakhtiyarpur and directed to complete the work expeditiously.

The Chief Minister inspected the proposed link of Ganga Channel at Ghansurpur in Bakhtiyarpur block. Additional Chief Secretary of Water Resources Department Mr. Chaitanya Prasad informed the Chief Minister about the action plan to link the stream of Ganga river from Ghansurpur to Ramnagar via Seedhi Ghat. He told that the old channel will be connected to the main stream at Ghansurpur. He also informed the Chief Minister about the renovation and protective works, tree plantation, park construction etc. to be done from Ghansurpur to Ramnagar via Seedhi Ghat.

After this, the Chief Minister inspected the Ganga Ghat and path-way under construction near Bakhtiyarpur Seedhi Ghat. Additional Chief Secretary of Water Resources Department Mr. Chaitanya Prasad gave detailed information to the Chief Minister about the concrete protective work, ghat construction and path-way construction near Seedhi Ghat. The Chief Minister said that I have spent my childhood here. I used to take bath at this ghat. People have been performing religious activities at this ghat. Beautify it and do the construction work in a better way so that the people coming here get convenience. The Chief Minister prayed for peace and prosperity of the state by offering prayers at Shri Radha Krishna Temple, Thakurbari, Seedhi Ghat. The Chief Minister paid his tribute by offering flowers to the statue of Pandit Sheelbhadra Yaji located at Pandit Sheelbhadra Yaji Memorial Trust.

After this, the Chief Minister inspected the construction work of Ganesh High School (10+2 level) Vidyalaya Bhawan (Ground+4) located at Bakhtiyarpur. During this, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to complete the construction work quickly and in a better manner. He said that the boundary wall should be made higher and the land which is below should be leveled by filling it with soil so that there is no waterlogging. Plantation should also be done so that the campus looks good and it will also be environment friendly. T

he Chief Minister also inspected the Bakhtiyarpur Sewerage Treatment Plant and started the treatment plant by pressing the button. The water of 8 drains coming under Bakhtiyarpur Municipal Corporation will be purified in this sewerage treatment plant. The sewage water coming out of Bakhtiyarpur Engineering College will also be purified in this plant. Citizens of all 27 wards of Bakhtiyarpur Municipal Corporation will be benefited by this. The purified water will be dropped in the pond constructed nearby, this will also conserve water. Plantation should also be done here so that this area will look green.

The Chief Minister inspected the railway over bridge under construction near Bakhtiyarpur Engineering College and directed to complete the construction work expeditiously. He said that after the completion of this project, Bakhtiyarpur Engineering College will have direct connectivity with the 4 lane road and movement to Bakhtiyarpur Engineering College will become easy.

During the inspection, Water Resources Minister Mr. Vijay Kumar Choudhary, MP Mr. Sanjay Kumar Jha, Additional Chief Secretary of Water Resources Department Mr. Chaitanya Prasad, Principal Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department Mr. Anand Kishore, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Anupam Kumar, Commissioner of Patna Division Mr. Kumar Ravi, Special Officer to Chief Minister Mr. Gopal Singh, District Magistrate of Patna Mr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police of Patna Mr. Rajiv Mishra and other senior officers were present.
