Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Highlights Development Achievements at JDU State Executive Meeting

Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today attended the state executive meeting of Janata Dal (United). The meeting was held at the Karpuri Auditorium of the JDU State Office. On this occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated State President Shri Umesh Singh Kushwaha for organizing this event and felicitated all the members.

The Chief Minister said in his address that the situation in Bihar was very bad before 2005. People in Patna and other cities were afraid to come out of their homes in the evening. The condition of education and health services in the state was worse, the condition of roads was dilapidated and law and order were bad. But after his government was formed, steps were taken in a new direction of development. He mentioned the reforms made in the fields of education, health and road and bridge construction.

Nitish Kumar said that his government has taken several steps for the empowerment of women. 50% reservation has been given to women in Panchayati Raj and urban bodies and 35% reservation has been arranged in government jobs. Due to the improvement in the law and order of the state, today the participation of women has increased. He also told that by implementing the liquor ban, 90% of the people in the state have stopped consuming alcohol, which has brought a positive change in society.

The Chief Minister said that his government has also done great work in the field of education and health. He mentioned the "Cycle Scheme" and "Dress Scheme", through which efforts were made to bring girls into the mainstream of education. Referring to the improvement in health services, he said that now more than 11,000 patients are treated per month in the primary health centers of the state.

Nitish Kumar said that the NDA aims to win more than 220 seats in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections and they are committed to the development of Bihar. He appreciated the cooperation of the central government and also talked about the efforts to get special state status for Bihar.

JDU National Working President Mr. Sanjay Kumar Jha, Energy Minister Mr. Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Water Resources Minister Mr. Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Rural Development Minister Mr. Shravan Kumar, other ministers, MPs, MLAs, and senior JDU leaders were present in the meeting.
