Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Inaugurates State Level Forest Festival 2024

Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar inaugurated the State Level Forest Festival - 2024 organized by the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change by planting a Maldah mango sapling at the Chief Minister's residence, 01 Anne Marg.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister has appealed to the people to contribute to this campaign by planting trees in and around their premises. Plantation was started from the year 2012 to increase the green cover area in the state. After that, in the year 2019, it was taken further by starting the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan.

Under this campaign, 05 plants will be provided free of cost to a particular person by the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

During the program, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department Dr. Prem Kumar welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting a green plant.

On this occasion, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department Dr. Prem Kumar, Water Resources Minister Mr. Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Mr. Brajesh Mehrotra, Development Commissioner Mr. Chaitanya Prasad, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. S. Siddharth, Secretary of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department Mrs. Bandana Preyasi and other senior officials were present.
