Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Honors Armed Forces on Flag Day, Contributes to Ex-Servicemen Benevolent Fund
Today, on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, Director of Sainik Kalyan Directorate, Brigadier Mrigendra Kumar met Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar at 01 Anne Marg and put the flag of Armed Forces Flag Day on him.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister contributed to the Bihar State Ex-Servicemen Benevolent Fund and expressed his respect and reverence towards the brave soldiers of the country.
He said that their sacrifices are immortal. They bravely face the external and internal crises faced by the nation at the cost of their lives.
For the welfare and rehabilitation of these brave soldiers, he also appealed to the people of the state to contribute to the Bihar State Ex-Servicemen Benevolent Fund. He said that this contribution of yours will be a gratitude towards the brave soldiers.
Director of Sainik Welfare Directorate Brigadier Mrigendra Kumar thanked the Chief Minister for the increase in the amount of honorarium and ex-gratia grant given to soldiers and ex-servicemen residing in Bihar by the government.
The Bihar government has taken important steps for the welfare and rehabilitation of soldiers / ex-servicemen residing in Bihar. The amount of ex-gratia grant has been increased from Rs. 11 lakh to Rs. 21 lakh.
The amount of ex-gratia grant for disabled soldiers discharged from military service of the armed forces has been increased from Rs. 50 thousand to Rs. 2 lakh. Along with this, the honorarium given to gallantry award winners residing in Bihar has also been increased.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Deepak Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. S. Siddharth, Principal Secretary to Home Department Mr. Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, Secretary to Home Department Mr. Pranav Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Anupam Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Kumar Ravi, Director of Sainik Welfare Directorate Brigadier Mrigendra Kumar, Joint Secretary of Sainik Welfare Directorate Mr. Parvez Alam and other officers were present.
