Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Conducts High-Level Review of Land Survey Initiatives
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar conducted a high-level review of the Bihar Special Survey and Settlement Program at 'Sankalp' located at 1 Anne Marg and gave necessary guidelines to the officials. During the review, Additional Secretary of Revenue and Land Reforms Department Shri Deepak Kumar Singh, while giving information about the progress of Bihar Special Survey and Settlement Program, said that the process of special survey and settlement is being run in a phased manner. Public awareness campaign related to special survey is being run. Officials are organizing camps and resolving the problems of people related to the survey work.
During the review, the Chief Minister gave instructions and said that the Bihar Special Survey and Settlement work in the state should be completed on time. It should be ensured that the landholders do not face any kind of difficulty during this period. He said that landholders should be given more time to upload documents so that there is no unnecessary crowd in the offices.
The Chief Minister said that the pending mutation and refinement cases in the zonal offices should be executed quickly in the form of a campaign so that the landholders can get proper documents. For survey work, the work of documents and the work of mutation, correction and rectification of records should continue in parallel. The Chief Minister directed the officials to ensure wide publicity of the survey process. Also, appropriate action should be taken for deputation of personnel at the zonal level. The Chief Minister directed the officials to keep monitoring and reviewing the survey work at a high level. Land dispute is the main cause of criminal incidents in the state. Giving strict instructions to the officials, he said that after completing the land survey work, the land records should be updated and it should be ensured that all land records are available digitally to the landholders. In this regard, keep informing the general public through publicity from time to time.
