Bihar Cabinet Approves ₹529 Crore for Infrastructure, Education, and Women Empowerment

9 proposals have been approved in the cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna on Tuesday. Administrative approval of Rs 109 crore 21 lakh has been given for the construction of a road overbridge between Dumri Halt and Potahi railway station in Patna. Rs 44 crore 91 lakh has been approved to improve the highway in Lakhisarai. Rs 43 crore has been approved for the construction of a four-lane road from the bypass to the medical college in Chapra.

New schools for more than 1000 children

The cabinet has approved Rs 56 crore 42 lakh for the construction of a minority residential school with a capacity of 880 students in Masaurhi of Patna district. A school with a capacity of 560 students will also be built in Chanpatia of West Champaran. Rs 50 crore 47 lakh has been approved for this. Approval has also been given to take services from Jeevika for food, clothing and cleanliness of the students in minority residential schools.

  • Approval of Rs 225.78 crore for organizing a state-wide dialogue program for women empowerment.
  • Increase in the ex-gratia amount given to the families of martyred personnel of the Armed Forces and Central Police Forces.
  • Approval of extension of service to Chief Engineer Tarani Das of Building Construction Department.
