Bihar Cabinet Approves 25 Key Agendas Including Relief for Home Guard Jawans and Major Sports, Infrastructure Developments
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s cabinet held an important meeting in Bihar on Tuesday (22 October) evening, in which a total of 25 agendas were approved. Home guard jawans have been given a big relief in the agendas. The cabinet has decided to give them one month's additional salary in addition to honorarium for working on holidays. Apart from this, the jawans have been given the eligibility of 20 days of compensatory leave.
At the same time, the Bihar government will lease the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium located in Rajendra Nagar, Patna to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for a long time for reconstruction. Permission to sign the MoU for this has been given in the cabinet today. Along with this, the estimated amount of Rs 18176.00 lakh was approved for the restoration and lining work of the Tirhut main canal.
After the MoU is signed, many international/national level cricket matches are likely to be organized in the stadium. Along with this, cricket players will get an opportunity to improve their talent and it will also boost the development of sports in the state. MoU 1 will be an agreement for 7 years per year and after 7 years there will be an agreement for 50-50 profit. BCCI will bear all the expenses in the reconstruction of the stadium. Arrangements will be made for playing at night as well. The lease will be for 30 years. Hotel facility will also be provided in it.
In the Water Resources Department, administrative and expenditure approval has been given for the restoration and lining work of the Tirhut main canal from 223.11 km to 240.85 km of the canal with an estimated amount of Rs. 18176.00 lakh (one hundred eighty one crore seventy six lakh). Approval was given for the formation of Office Attendant and Attendant (Night Watchman) Cadre Rules 2024 regarding the recruitment of ex-servicemen on the posts of Office Attendant and Attendant (Night Watchman) in the Home Department Sainik Welfare Directorate and its subordinate District Sainik Welfare Offices.
The Cabinet approved to pay stamp duty of Rs 5 crore 92 lakh 42,300 to the Mumbai District Magistrate for the construction of Bihar Bhawan in Mumbai under the Cabinet Secretariat Department of Bihar. Approval has been given for withdrawal from the contingency fund of Rs 6 crore under the State Scheme in the financial year 2024-25.
Apart from this, Bihar Local Area Engineering Service Rules were approved. A-Ray Technician Rules 2024 were approved under the Health Department. Laboratory Amendment Rules 2024 were approved under the Bihar Health Department. Bihar Paridhyapak 2024 was approved under the Health Department. Under the Health Department, ECG Technician's Manual, under the Home Department, ex-servicemen will be appointed to the post of office attendant. Under the Finance Department, one post of financial expert has been approved. Three billion rupees have been approved for installing a new power grid in PMCH. Three billion 49 lakh rupees have been approved for the construction of Government Medical College, Chapra. Under the Agriculture Department, the Departmental Clerk Manual 2024 has also been approved.
