Bihar Budget 2025-26: A Roadmap for Inclusive Growth & Economic Development

Expressing his reaction on the financial budget of Bihar 2025-26 presented by Deputy Chief Minister cum Finance Minister Shri Samrat Chaudhary in the Bihar Legislative Assembly today, Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar said that in this budget of Bihar, care has been taken of people of every section of the society including farmers, entrepreneurs, youth and women. This year the budget of Bihar is Rs 3 lakh 17 thousand crores. Bihar's growth rate has been 14.5 percent.

The Chief Minister said that the presented Bihar Budget (2025-26) will strengthen our resolve for development with justice. We have full confidence that the state government will accelerate the economic development of Bihar with proper management of its fiscal resources. The facility of transportation will be improved by widening the roads. Our efforts to provide employment to the youth will continue. We are determined to provide employment opportunities along with government jobs, for this there will be no shortage of financial resources. Special provisions have been made in this budget to further the development made by our efforts in education, health and agriculture.

The Chief Minister said that Bihar Budget 2025-26 will play a very important role in making the economy inclusive, rapid and environment friendly, where on one hand every district will be connected by a 4-lane road, on the other hand many provisions have been made in the budget to provide cheap and accessible air service to the people of the state. The establishment of medical colleges and hospitals in various districts will bring qualitative improvement in the health sector of the state. The state government has always been ready to encourage private investment and in this budget, major and important policy reforms have been made with many new policies for this.

The Chief Minister said that overall in this budget, people of every section of the society including farmers, entrepreneurs, youth and women have been taken care of. This is a complete, inclusive and development promoting budget.

The Chief Minister said that in the budget presented after the formation of the new government at the Center on 23 July 2024, special financial assistance was given to Bihar. Again on 01 February 2025, Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman has given special attention to the various development schemes of Bihar and the interests of the people of Bihar in the Union Budget 2025. Thanks to the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for this. This assistance from the Central Government and the State Government's own budgetary provisions will further accelerate the development of Bihar and Bihar will achieve new heights.
