Ayodhya Rising: PM Modi Unveils Rs 11,100 Crore Infra Boom with Airport, Trains, & More!
PM to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects, collectively worth over Rs 11,100 crore, aimed at revitalizing civic facilities and establishing world-class infrastructure in Ayodhya. Notable initiatives include the inauguration of Ayodhya Airport, where the terminal's facade mirrors the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir's architecture. The PM will also unveil the Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station and kickstart operations for two Amrit Bharat trains and six Vande Bharat trains, enhancing accessibility to the Shri Ram Mandir. Additionally, the PM will inaugurate a greenfield township, contribute to a vision of modern infrastructure while preserving Ayodhya's historical heritage.
On December 30, 2023, at around 11:15 AM, the PM will commence the day by inaugurating the redeveloped Ayodhya Railway Station, flagging off new Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains, and dedicating various railway projects. Following this, at approximately 12:15 PM, the PM will inaugurate the Ayodhya Airport. Around 1 PM, a public program is scheduled, where the PM will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone for projects exceeding Rs 15,700 crore. These projects encompass Ayodhya's development (approximately Rs 11,100 crore) and other initiatives across Uttar Pradesh (around Rs 4,600 crore).
The PM's vision emphasizes developing modern infrastructure in Ayodhya, enhancing connectivity, and upgrading civic facilities, all while honoring the city's rich history. The newly inaugurated airport, redeveloped railway station, widened roads, and civic infrastructure projects align with this vision. The Ayodhya Airport, with an initial cost of over Rs 1450 crore, boasts sustainable features and aims to boost tourism, business, and employment.
The Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station, developed at a cost exceeding Rs 240 crore, is a three-storey modern station equipped with amenities like lifts, escalators, food plazas, and green certifications. The PM will also launch the Amrit Bharat Express, a non-air-conditioned LHB push-pull train, and six Vande Bharat Trains, enhancing rail connectivity.
The PM will inaugurate four roads in Ayodhya and numerous civic projects, including a medical college, roads, an ROB, a waste treatment plant, and educational infrastructure. Additionally, foundation stones will be laid for projects supporting civic facilities and cultural heritage, such as gate conservation, ghats development, and a greenfield township.
In the broader context of Uttar Pradesh, the PM will inaugurate projects like the four-lane widening of Gosain Ki Bazar Bypass-Varanasi, strengthening of NH-730, capacity increase of an LPG plant in Trishundi, sewage treatment plants, and a CETP for a tannery cluster.
