Attempted Train Derailment Foiled on Bihar-UP Border: Alert Loco Pilots Avert Major Accidents
In recent times, there have been reports of conspiracies to make trains victims of accidents in different parts of the country. After Uttar Pradesh, once again a conspiracy has been hatched to derail the train on the Bihar and UP border. The railway track was found cut on the border. According to the information, an attempt was made to derail the Kolkata-Ghazipur City Shabdbhedi Express train. However, the accident was averted due to the presence of mind of the loco pilot of the train. Railway officials have reached the spot. According to the information, on receiving the information about the railway track being cut, top officials of GRP and police administration reached the spot in a hurry. This train departs from Howrah Railway Station (HWH) in Kolkata at 10:45 pm and reaches Ghazipur City Railway Station (GCT) at 12:25 pm.
Recently, an attempt to derail the train in Uttarakhand was foiled. An old 7 meter long iron pole of telecom was kept on the railway track on the 43/10-11 railway line of Bilaspur Road Rudrapur City Station passing behind the Balwant Enclave Colony of the state. However, the loco pilot of the Doon Express passing through there at that time applied emergency brakes on the train and averted a major accident. Earlier, a similar incident was also reported in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh.
A large piece of wood was kept between the rail track to derail the train near Alam Patti area between Ghazipur Ghat station and Ghazipur City station. However, the driver's presence of mind applied emergency brakes, which averted a major accident. Even after applying emergency brakes, the train stopped after going about 400 meters ahead dragging along with that wood. After this, the entire railway department immediately reached the spot.
