Arvind Kejriwal’s health model to receive boost; 232 UPSC-Qualified Doctors to join Delhi Government Hospitals

The Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) Delhi Government has taken a major step in the healthcare sector by approving the appointment of 232 UPSC-qualified doctors in its hospitals. Chief Minister Atishi has given her approval for these appointments, marking a significant stride in strengthening Delhi’s healthcare infrastructure.

“This decision will be a breakthrough for government hospitals in Delhi,” said CM Atishi. “It will enhance medical services and ensure timely treatment for patients,” stated CM Atishi.

Expressing her satisfaction over the move, CM Atishi emphasized the government’s commitment to improving healthcare services and providing quality treatment to all. She asserted, "Be it transforming underperforming hospitals into world-class facilities, providing excellent care through Mohalla Clinics, or addressing the shortage of doctors, Delhi has witnessed a healthcare revolution under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership over the past ten years."

Highlighting the achievements of the Delhi Government’s healthcare model, she noted, "Thanks to Delhi’s exceptional healthcare infrastructure, people can access treatments ranging from ₹500 to ₹50 lakh free of cost in government hospitals."

CM Atishi also pointed out that Delhi hospitals not only serve residents of the city but also cater to a large number of patients from neighboring states, where adequate healthcare services are often unavailable. This influx adds to the workload on hospitals and doctors.

To address this, the Delhi Chief Minister announced, "The Delhi Government is appointing 232 new doctors to its hospitals, a step that will act as a breakthrough for these institutions. This move will bridge the gap in the number of doctors, improve healthcare services, and ensure better treatment for patients. It will not only help patients receive timely care but also reduce the workload on existing doctors."
