Arvind Kejriwal Shifts Full Focus to Haryana Assembly Elections
After resigning, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has now focused his entire attention on the Haryana Assembly elections. In this sequence, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal arrived in Haryana to address a rally on Friday. This was the first election rally of Arvind Kejriwal, who came out of Tihar Jail after getting bail from the Supreme Court, in which he fiercely attacked the BJP government. He claimed that the next government in Haryana cannot be formed without the support of his party.
According to a PTI report, targeting the BJP, he claimed that the entire state wants 'change'. While participating in the campaign of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Haryana, the former Chief Minister of Delhi said that people will throw the BJP out of power in the state assembly elections to be held on October 5. Kejriwal, along with Haryana unit chief of AAP Sushil Gupta, held a roadshow in support of his party candidate Adarsh Pal in the Jagadhari constituency of Yamunanagar district.
AAP is contesting the elections in Haryana on its own after seat-sharing talks with the Congress failed. Addressing the people during a roadshow in the afternoon, Kejriwal said the whole of Haryana wants 'badlaav' this time. Kejriwal said, "AAP is getting so many seats... I calculated after reaching here... we are getting so many seats that the next government in Haryana cannot be formed without the support of AAP. The first seat in the entire Haryana that we will win is Jagadhari."
15 candidates are in the fray from Jagadhari. Elections for the 90-member Haryana Assembly will be held on October 5 and the counting of votes will take place on October 8. Targeting the ruling BJP in the state, he said, "Wherever you go, you come to know that people do not allow them to enter villages, streets." He alleged that corruption, unemployment, inflation and drug problems have increased under the BJP rule in Haryana. Kejriwal said, "What did the BJP give you? Corruption, unemployment, inflation and drug addiction to your children. Nothing else apart from this.'
