All CMs and Governors, Including Opposition Leaders, to Be Invited to Maha Kumbh: CM Yogi's Decision
Preparations are in full swing to make the Maha Kumbh, scheduled to begin on January 13, 2025, grand. To make this occasion historic, the Uttar Pradesh government will invite all the states' governors and chief ministers. Under this, the ministers of the UP government will visit various states and invite them personally. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath approved this decision in a meeting held at Lok Bhavan on Friday evening.
After the meeting, a senior minister of the state government said, "It has been decided that the ministers of the state will go to all the states of the country and invite the governors and chief ministers there to come to the Maha Kumbh." When asked whether the opposition leaders would also be contacted, the minister said, "Why not, we will meet everyone including the chief ministers of the states ruled by opposition parties and invite them."
Let us tell you that the state cabinet led by CM Yogi approved a proposal on November 22 to promote the Maha Kumbh in India and abroad. State government officials said that the Maha Kumbh will attract a record number of devotees from all over the world. A minister said that these roadshows will be led by ministers, who will use this opportunity to meet the governors and chief ministers of these states. This tour is likely to be completed before the proposed arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Prayagraj on December 13. Before PM Modi's arrival in Prayagraj, CM Yogi himself will go to Prayagraj to review the preparations for the Maha Kumbh.
After the meeting, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said, "Mahakumbh is going to be organized on a large scale. This meeting was about ensuring divinity and grandeur while demonstrating security arrangements in this fair." At the same time, the state's Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh is already present in Delhi to promote the Maha Kumbh among the representatives of various countries. Brajesh Pathak said that a better law and order situation in the entire state was also discussed in the meeting. He said, "Law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh is already good and we also discussed measures that can ensure that it not only remains good but gets even better."
