AAP Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack, Demands Justice and Accountability

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday strongly condemned the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, describing it as a “cowardly and barbaric” act and a grave attack on humanity. The party expressed solidarity with the victims' families and reiterated the need for a decisive response to terrorism.
AAP leaders—including National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, MPs Sanjay Singh, Sandeep Pathak, and Raghav Chadha, Delhi Assembly Leader of Opposition Atishi, and Delhi State President Saurabh Bharadwaj—issued statements conveying condolences and urging firm action against those responsible.
Arvind Kejriwal, AAP National Convenor, posted on social media:
“The cowardly terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir is extremely shameful and condemnable. Targeting unarmed innocents is an attack on humanity. The whole country is united in this moment of grief. Our condolences are with the victim families. We strongly condemn every form of terrorism.”
Bhagwant Mann, Punjab Chief Minister, echoed the sentiment:
“Targeting unarmed innocents is an attack on humanity. The whole country stands united in this hour of grief. Our condolences are with the families of the victims. We condemn this act of terror in the strongest terms.”
Sanjay Singh, AAP MP, wrote:
“The terrorists brutally attacked unarmed tourists. These cowardly individuals are not only enemies of the nation but also of the Kashmiri people. They have no religion or humanity. The central government must respond in a language the terrorists understand.”
Atishi, Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, said:
“This terrorist attack is extremely tragic and condemnable. The country is united in condemning such cowardly violence. Our thoughts and prayers are with the affected families. May they find the strength to endure this tragedy.”
Saurabh Bharadwaj, AAP Delhi State President, stated:
“This cowardly attack must be condemned. Despite steps like the abrogation of Article 370, making J&K a Union Territory, and demonetization—each of which was claimed to curb terrorism—the problem persists. The government must reflect on the shortcomings in its policies.”
“Kashmiri Pandits have still not returned to their homeland, and militancy remains a concern. The Prime Minister should prioritize addressing domestic security challenges over foreign engagements.”
Dr. Sandeep Pathak, AAP MP, said:
“This is an extremely cowardly attack. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”
Raghav Chadha, AAP MP, commented:
“The attack in Pahalgam is an unforgivable act of brutality. No cause can justify such savagery. The perpetrators are enemies of peace and must face the full force of justice. My prayers are with the victims and their families.”
