AAP Accuses BJP of Complicity in Faridabad Student's Murder by Cow Vigilantes, Demands Accountability

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has fired a broadside at the BJP and Haryana's Nayab Singh Saini government holding them accountable in the murder of Aryan Mishra, a 12th-grade student, by so-called cow protectors in Faridabad. Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh revealed that Aryan was chased for 30 kilometres before being brutally beaten to death.

The AAP MP condemned the rising violence, citing 49 incidents of cow protection killings in the last decade, leaving 55 dead and 94 injured. Between 2014-2022, 21 Hindus were killed in 172 mob lynching incidents, yet the BJP remains silent, suggesting tacit approval. Sanjay Singh declared that BJP’s "double engine" has failed in Haryana, vowing that the state's citizens will oust the party from power.

Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, in a press conference at the party headquarters on Wednesday, said that a heart-wrenching incident took place in Faridabad, Haryana, in which humanity is being murdered in the name of ‘cow protection. Terror is being spread in the name of ‘cow vigilantes’. Who are these people who have become the contractors of cow protection and the Hindu religion? Who has given them this responsibility?

The AAP Rajya Sabha MP continued, “The Prime Minister of the country does not say a word on all such matters. The BJP remains silent on such murders. The BJP government of Haryana also remains silent on such murders. This clearly means that the BJP government of Haryana itself is sponsoring such murders and giving them protection. The Haryana government is behind these violent actions, under whose protection all this is happening. Aryan Mishra, a student studying in 12th, was made to run for 30 kilometres. After this, he was beaten to death.”

Sanjay Singh further added that these people who call themselves so-called ‘Gau Rakshaks’ (Co Vigilantes) are working under the protection of the BJP and the Haryana government. This is not the first case. A few days ago, a poor laborer from Bengal was beaten to death in Gurugram. “BJP's entire politics is based only on Hindus and Muslims. These people's minds are filled with hatred. First kill Muslims, break their houses, then kill Hindus, break their houses, then kill Dalits and tribals, break their houses. Will they do any good work for this country? The Haryana government and BJP are involved in this murder. Aryan Mishra's father has said with great anguish that the Modi government is promoting and protecting such murders,” he shared.

Sanjay Singh further said that BJP has started the ‘bulldozer culture’ in the country. While 144 crore people in the country are forming the government. Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar wrote the constitution. “Law and judiciary have been made in the country to deal with crimes. But to punish the criminals, bulldozers are being used instead of democracy today. The Supreme Court has just made a very strict comment on bulldozer politics. There are provisions for filing a case under different sections for the crime and getting punishment. But how can you run a bulldozer on someone's house like this?” he reasoned.

“I repeatedly say that the bulldozer is not a relative of anyone. These bulldozers are very unfaithful. When a bulldozer runs on a Muslim's house in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, the BJP members celebrate and distribute laddus. Then the same bulldozers ran on ancient temples in Kashi and the houses of more than 300 people were demolished. After this, the houses of more than 4,000 people were demolished in Ayodhya. Many temples were demolished. Will these people develop the country?” asked the senior AAP leader.

Sanjay Singh said that the BJP is so pseudo-nationalist that on one hand, they raise slogans of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and on the other hand, they run bulldozers on the temples of Bharat Mata in Kashi and Ayodhya. A bulldozer was run on the house of a Tyagi family in Noida, after which a bulldozer was run on the house of the people who had made allegations. Are bulldozers going to benefit the people of this country? Will killing in the name of cow protection bring progress to this country? Will this politics of violence and hatred help people get a livelihood and reduce inflation? But this kind of hatred is being spread in a planned manner.

“An incident has recently come from Maharashtra where mobs killed an old Muslim man in a moving train. Where is this written in Hinduism? An old man was going to meet his daughter and was caught and beaten. Will Prime Minister Modi, CM Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana government or BJP pay for this loss and grief of Aryan Mishra's family?” asked the AAP MP.

Sanjay Singh expressed that the AAP opposes any kind of injustice with Dalits, tribals, backwards, Muslims or Hindus. In the last 10 years, 49 incidents took place in the name of cow protection, in which 55 people were killed and 94 were injured. Most of these incidents have happened in BJP-ruled states. Between 2014 and 2022, 172 mob lynching incidents took place, in which 21 Hindus died and 21 were injured. 6 Dalits died and 42 were injured. Many Muslims were killed. This is the truth of mob lynching. Similarly, Kashmiri Pandits bank workers or labourers who went to work from Bihar are being killed in Kashmir. All these incidents took place in the last 10 years of BJP rule.

“BJP's bulldozer also ran in the Akbarnagar area of Uttar Pradesh, where about 1,800 houses and buildings were demolished, including about 101 shops. Under this, most of the houses of Hindus were demolished. BJP should stop throwing this country into the furnace of hatred. It should now stop celebrating the demolition of houses in the name of religion and caste. Because this will happen in your house too, you will not be spared from it. No scripture of the Hindu religion says such a thing. These contractors who call themselves so-called cow protectors have no right to kill anyone,” affirmed the AAP MP.

Sanjay Singh mentioned that Aryan Mishra was a Brahmin, he was also killed in the name of cow protection. Tomorrow these people will commit murders in their neighborhood and in their homes too. BJP and its government are responsible for these incidents. PM Modi, who repeatedly talks about running a double-engine government in Haryana, will have to answer for this. This double engine of the BJP has failed. The people of Haryana will remove this rotten engine.
