Aam Aadmi Party Prepares for Maharashtra Assembly Elections with 36 Candidates in Mumbai

Aam Aadmi Party has geared up for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. The party will field its candidates on 36 seats in Mumbai. Party workers have also started preparations for this.

The Aam Aadmi Party has also made its stand clear on whether it will contest the elections in Maharashtra as part of India Alliance or alone.

Aam Aadmi Party's Mumbai President Preeti Sharma Menon said, "AAP is a strong part of the India Alliance. However, the INDIA Alliance was formed for the Lok Sabha elections and we won that too. Maharashtra Assembly elections are a different matter. It will be fought on local issues."

She further said, "Maharashtra needs a welfare government. Therefore, the Aam Aadmi Party is ready to contest elections in Maharashtra. Our vote bank is very strong in Maharashtra."

The Maharashtra Assembly elections will be held in October this year. The two parties of the INDIA alliance and the opposition parties in the state, Shiv Sena (UBT) and the NCP (SP), will also play an important role in the polls.
