43rd India International Trade Fair: Bihar Pavilion steals the show with 'Developed Bihar @2047' theme

New Delhi: The Bihar Pavilion at the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) has emerged as a major attraction, showcasing the state's rich cultural heritage and its vision for the future.

Inaugurated by Bihar's Minister of Industries and Tourism, Nitish Mishra, the pavilion is themed around "Developed Bihar @2047". The minister also took a tour of the pavilion and inspected the exhibits.

Highlighting Bihar's impressive growth rate over the past few years, Minister Nitish Mishra said, "Bihar has consistently maintained a growth rate of over 8% since 2006. This has caught the attention of investors, and we have started attracting investments due to our rapid infrastructure development and investor-friendly industrial policies. Between April and November 2024, the state has received investments worth over Rs 5,400 crore. This is an unprecedented achievement and a matter of great pride for Bihar."

The Bihar Pavilion, spread over 75 stalls, showcases the state's handicrafts, handlooms, and khadi products. Visitors can also see and buy products like Babban Booti from Nalanda, Bhagalpuri silk, Madhubani paintings from Mithila, Tikuli art from Patna, and other artifacts.

The pavilion has been designed around the theme of Bihar's unique cultural and historical heritage. The entrance is called the "Sabhyata Dwar", adorned with the logo of "Developed Bihar @2047". The logo is inspired by the concept of a rising sun and represents Bihar's development in five key areas: art and culture, industry, tourism, women's empowerment, and social development.

The Bihar Museum at the pavilion's center is another major attraction, with its beautiful exhibits drawing visitors in. The walls feature 3D paintings of the modern Nalanda University and the iconic Buddha Bridge. Other walls are adorned with Madhubani, Manjusha, and Tikuli art created by Bihar's renowned Padma Shri artists.

The pavilion also showcases traditional art forms like Madhubani painting, terracotta art, and Sikki craft. Through this interactive display, visitors can experience Bihar's rich art and culture firsthand.
