Five IPL teams who changed their captains this season
The fifteenth season of the fan's favourite cricket league, IPL (Indian Premier League) began on March 28. Till now 22 matches have been played and the final match will take place on May 29. Every season there are some changes in the team members and sometimes the team captains also change. Well, this season was nothing different, here are five teams whose captains were changed. Ravindra Jadeja (Chennai Super Kings)Â Chennai Super Kings was led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni but after he announced that he will be stepping down from the leadership this season, Ravindra Jadeja was made the captain. With the new captain's incoming fans are even more enthused to see CSK play. Jadeja is an all-rounder who bats left-handed and bowls left-arm orthodox spin. Mayank Agarwal (Punjab Kings) Mayank Agarwal will be making his IPL captaincy debut this season. He will be replacing KL Rahul and will be leading Punjabi Kings in the year 2022. Mayank plays for the domestic cricket team of Karnataka and he made his international debut for the Indian cricket team on December 26, 2018, against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Hardik Pandya (Gujarat Titans)Â Another player who will be making his debut as the IPL captain is Hardik Pandya. Pandya will be leading the Gujarat Titans and will have a point to prove in the first season of this franchise. Hardik is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm fast-medium. Faf du Plessis (Royal Challengers Banglore) Royal Challengers Banglore was led by Virat Kholi but after he stepped down from captaincy the RCB made the former South African captain RCB's captain. Faf du Plessis has had tons of experience in leading teams however he never had the opportunity to lead an IPL team. KL Rahul (Lucknow Super Giants) In the last few seasons, KL Rahul led Punjab Kings but this season he will be leading Lucknow Super Giants in their first season. He made his international debut in the year 2014. Rahul is a right-handed batsman who also serves as a wicketkeeper on occasion. Well, we are as much excited as you are to see who wins IPL 2020.
