ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Faridabad Hosts 1st Annual Pathology Conference of Haryana Chapter of IAPM

The 1st Annual Pathology Conference of the newly formed Haryana Chapter of the Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (IAPM) was held at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Faridabad, Haryana today. Dr. Rajendra Kumar, Director General, ESIC, was the Chief Guest at the event.

The conference was graced by the presence of distinguished speakers in the field of pathology, along with the Dean, Medical Superintendent, and doctors of ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Faridabad.

In his address during the conference, Dr. Rajendra Kumar said that ESIC is running one of the largest social security schemes in the world with a clientele base of about 13.5 crore. He further talked about the recent technology-based initiatives taken by ESIC to improve the delivery of services to beneficiaries. Some of these initiatives include the revamped AAA+ app for appointments, the e-Sanjeevani 2.0 app for telemedicine, drug delivery and sample collection at homes of beneficiaries. He also informed about the availability of all the cash benefits of the ESI Scheme online.

Some of the topics discussed and deliberated upon during the conference included the use of Artificial Intelligence in Cytopathology, Liquid Biopsy, Lung Cancer updates, Colonoscopy Biopsy, Soft Tissue Sarcomas, and IF in Renal Biopsy. The distinguished speakers enlightened the participants with their thoughts and recent advancements in the field of medical sciences, especially in the field of pathology and microbiology.

The conference was a resounding success, with over 200 participants from all over Haryana and neighboring states. It provided a platform for pathologists and microbiologists to share their knowledge and experiences, and to learn about the latest trends and developments in the field.
