Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ hits theaters, becoming the second biggest opener at the Box Office of 2025

Salman Khan's much-awaited film 'Sikandar' has finally been released in theaters. His fans reached the theaters in large numbers to watch this film. This movie, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, has received mixed reviews. While some viewers did not like it as expected, Salman's die-hard fans were very excited to see it. Meanwhile, the figures for the first day box office collection of the film have also come out.

The advance booking of 'Sikandar' started on March 27 and its tickets were selling tremendously from the very first day. In such a situation, it was being speculated that the film would have a good start at the box office, and that is what happened. 'Sikandar' has made a great collection of Rs 30.06 crore on its first day.

However, despite such a good collection, 'Sikandar' could not become the biggest opening film of 2025. Vicky Kaushal's 'Chhaava' remains the biggest opening film so far this year, earning Rs 31 crore on the first day of its release on February 14. 'Chhaava' made and broke many records at the box office, while 'Sikandar' has become the second biggest opening film of 2025.

If we compare the opening day earnings of Salman Khan's previous films, his film 'Sultan' released in 2016 earned Rs 36.54 crore on the first day, while 'Tiger 3' released in 2023 had a blockbuster opening of Rs 53.3 crore. Now it will be interesting to see whether 'Sikandar' is able to make any big record in the first week or not.

Rashmika Mandanna and Sharman Joshi are seen with Salman Khan in this film. At the same time, 'Bahubali' fame Satyaraj has played a strong role of villain in it. 'Sikander' is jointly produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Salman Khan, while it is directed by A. R. Murugadoss.
