'Coolie': Rajinikanth will be seen with Sathyaraj after 38 years, Aamir Khan's cameo in talks

Superstar Rajinikanth has left for Thailand to shoot director Lokesh Kanagaraj's film 'Coolie'. Rajinikanth revealed that about 70 percent of the film's shooting has been completed. The film's next schedule will be from January 13 to January 28.

Rajinikanth was spotted at the airport on Tuesday morning. Speaking to media persons, Rajinikanth refused to answer questions related to politics.

Let us tell you that 'Coolie' is an action thriller film. Big actors like Telugu star Nagarjuna, Kannada star Upendra, Sobin Shahir and Sathyaraj will be seen in it. News of Bollywood star Aamir Khan doing a cameo in this film is in the news. However, the makers have not yet made an official announcement about it. The film also stars Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John and Junior MGR in important roles.

Produced by Sun Pictures, Coolie's music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander. This film is in the news for many reasons. One of them is that in this film, actors Sathyaraj and Rajinikanth will work together after almost 38 years. Both were last seen together in the superhit Tamil film 'Mr. Bharat'. This film was released in 1986.

Sathyaraj played the role of Rajinikanth's father in this film. Interestingly, Sathyaraj had turned down offers to act in some of Rajinikanth's previous films like 'Enthiran' and 'Sivaji'.

The film 'Coolie' revolves around gold smuggling. Interestingly, director Lokesh Kanakaraj has revealed that 'Coolie' will be a standalone film and it will not be a part of his Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
