IndiGo Expands Operations, Connects Ahmedabad and Ayodhya

New Delhi:IndiGo has announced the commencement of operations between Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, starting January 11, 2024. This new route marks IndiGo's second connection to Ayodhya, following the recent launch of flights between Delhi and Ayodhya on January 10, 2024. Additionally, the airline is set to commence operations on the Mumbai-Ayodhya route from January 15, 2024.

The introduction of flights between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya aims to establish direct connectivity between these two cities, catering to the growing demand from both leisure and business travelers. The move is expected to significantly reduce travel time and enhance interstate accessibility.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed his enthusiasm about the new route, stating, "We are delighted to commence operations between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya, enhancing ease of accessibility with Ayodhya, a town of immense religious, cultural, and historical significance."

He further highlighted the strategic importance of this expansion, saying, "The addition of this new route will enhance direct connectivity between Ayodhya and destinations such as Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and beyond, through the extensive 6E network.
