GIIT Celebrates Silver Jubilee: Ravishankar Prasad Hails Institution's Contribution to Digital India
Patna: The Global Institute of Information Technology (GIIT) celebrated its silver jubilee anniversary on [date] at Vidyapati Bhawan, Patna. The occasion was graced by former Union Minister for Information Technology, Ravishankar Prasad, who hailed GIIT's contribution to Digital India.
In his address, Prasad said, "It is a matter of great pride that GIIT, which was established in Patna 25 years ago, has been instrumental in spreading technical education to needy people across various states." He added, "GIIT's efforts over the past 25 years have enabled lakhs of students to receive training and secure employment. Digital India is now a reality, and GIIT has played a significant role in this journey."
Other dignitaries, including Sanjay Prakash Mayukh, Arun Kumar Sinha, Uday Manjhi, Professor D.N. Sinha, Professor Brajesh Tiwari, and Anand Kausal, President of the Web Journalists Association of India, also spoke on the occasion.
GIIT CEO Madhup Mani welcomed the guests and highlighted the institution's achievements over the past 25 years, including its IT training programs, social awareness initiatives, and computer proficiency exams.
The occasion also saw the launch of a souvenir, "Safarnama 25 Years," which chronicled GIIT's journey over the past quarter century. Awards were presented to deserving individuals, including the Renuka Sinha Award, in memory of GIIT's chairperson.
The event concluded with a cultural program featuring artists from West Bengal and Bihar, followed by the felicitation of GIIT's staff and associates.
