Another major blow to Congress in Himachal Pradesh as 4 big faces join Aam Aadmi Party

Ever since the Aam Aadmi Party had announced to contest elections in Himachal Pradesh, the number of people joining the party has grown exponentially. On the same note, 31 prominent faces of Himachal Pradesh joined the Aam Aadmi Party today at the residence of National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal. These names include Sant Ram, President of Gramin Kamgar and MNREGA workers organization, Munish Sharma, Zilla Parishad member from Sarkaghat assembly constituency, Congress party's Zilla Parishad Member and former Panchayat Head Nirmal Pandey, Lahaul Spiti Ekta Manch Chairman Sudarshan Jasp and Sandeep Minhas, who was the state secretary of Himachal Niti Abhiyan. Apart from this, important faces included Kuldeep Sharma, Congress Committee General Secretary of Mandi district, Vishal Deep, State President of Forest Rights and Rural Development Organization from Hamidpur constituency and Surendra Bandhu, the Ex-Panchayat Pradhan who won twice in Dharampur Legislative Assembly. On this occasion, along with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, State Election Incharge of Himachal Pradesh and Delhi Cabinet Minister Shri Satyendar Jain and Secretary to State Election Incharge Shri Bipin Rai were also present.
Welcoming the newly joined members to the party, Aam Aadmi Party's National Convener Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, "people all over the country are fed up with the old and corrupt politics. People are now looking for an alternative, a new party which can give a better future to this country. Aam Aadmi Party is a corruption-free party, a party of honest people." He further said, "We have had a government in Delhi for 7 years which is working with full sincerity and hard work. We have provided an exemplary model of governance. Since our government has been formed in Punjab, major overhauls in the favour of the people there are being made every day. The people of Himachal Pradesh after being influenced by our work are now calling for an honest and corruption-free government in their state as well. The people of Himachal Pradesh have high expectations from us and we will live up to the expectations of the people." While congratulating those people who have joined the party, the Delhi Chief Minister said, "it is now your responsibility as well to facilitate the process of incorporating other people from the state who wish to be a part of this politics of change into the Aam Aadmi Party so that we can widen the reach of our organisation and provide a better model of governance to the people by winning the elections." On this occasion, Shri Satyendar Jain while welcoming everyone to the Aam Aadmi Party said, "all these veterans who have joined the Aam Aadmi Party are doing excellent work in their respective fields. All those who have been convened today are educated and honest people and many of them have got more than 12 thousand votes in the Zilla Panchayat elections which is 5 times the number of votes garnered by other parties. This is primarily important due to the fact that the individual who gets about 15-18 thousand votes in the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections becomes an MLA, that's why the people who have joined the party today are not just 31 individuals but in fact represent 31 lakh people. All these people who have joined the party today are those who wish to see the development of Himachal Pradesh. Ever since we have announced to contest elections in Himachal Pradesh, we are getting overwhelming responses from across the state. Many young and aware leaders of Himachal Pradesh have come forward to join the Aam Aadmi Party today. There are many good people in other parties who want to be a part of this politics of change by joining the Aam Aadmi Party. All those people are welcome in the Aam Aadmi Party." He further said, "the party is getting overwhelming response from all over Himachal Pradesh and people are ready to vote for change. On the 6th of April, Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal will start the election campaign in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. We will convey our message to each and every person of Himachal Pradesh that the Aam Aadmi Party is emerging as a new alternative, which is why there is no need to depend on Congress and BJP."
