We urge the President to take steps as soon as possible to form an interim government under the leadership of Dr. Yunus. We will also announce the names of the remaining members of the interim government by morning.”, Nahid said.

Nahid, referring to the indiscriminate firing and attacks on temples and large-scale looting in Bangladesh, said that widespread violence is being carried out by the fascists and their allies who have been removed from power to thwart the revolution.

Nahid Islam further said that the anti-discrimination student movement has formed a committee. Which will protect public property and the minority community. He appealed to his comrades,

Until the interim government is formed, the students will have to stay on the streets to protect their rebellion. We have given our blood, and have been martyred. We have to fulfill our pledge to create a new Bangladesh.

Bangladesh President Mohammad Shahabuddin said on August 4 that the Parliament will be dissolved and an interim government will be formed as soon as possible. He gave this information during a meeting with various political parties and civil society. The chiefs of the three armies were also present in this meeting.
