On October 30, a case was registered against 19 people including Chinmay Krishna Das Prabhu under the Sedition Act for insulting the national flag in Bangladesh. Since October, Sanatan Jagran Manch started protests in Chittagong demanding the safety and rights of minorities. In this, Chinmay Krishna Das Prabhu attacked the government many times. Under his leadership, Hindu minorities have raised their voice on eight major demands. These include setting up of a tribunal to try those involved in crimes against minorities, compensation and rehabilitation of victims, implementation of the Minority Protection Act, creation of a Ministry of Minority Affairs, construction of prayer places and puja rooms for minorities in educational institutions and hostels, giving priority to Hindu, Buddhist and Christian welfare trusts, implementation of the Transfer of Property Act, modernisation of the Pali and Sanskrit education boards and a five-day holiday on Durga Puja.
